for Self-Discovery

Helping Children Succeed
Since 1997, Millennium Children’s Therapy has been offering a variety of programs for children, focusing on social, emotional, speech and motor development.

Fall Session
November 9 – December 14

Program includes:
6 one-hour art sessions for children age 5 and up.
Imaginative exploration with painting, collage and clay mediums.
2 parent sessions that focus on the emotional development of the child.
Week One: Parent Orientation
Week Six: Summary Meeting
Art supplies and parent resource materials included.

Facilitated by:
Barbara Barry, artist and founder of Art for Self-DiscoveryTM, has over thirty years as an arts educator, developing innovative programs that use the process of art making to access hidden strengths. As an artist in residence with Symphony Space at 95th, Barbara teaches in the New York metro area public schools and is a guest faculty member at the C. G. Jung Foundation of NY.

Joanna Hulton, Ph.D., is a licensed psychotherapist with over thirty years of experience in the fields of mental health and education. Dr. Hulton maintains a private practice on Long Island, N.Y. Her work focuses on enhancing the role of family, school, and community in improving children’s self-esteem, feelings of personal efficacy, and ability to learn.
